Land of the free

I have been in the United States for almost a week now, in the great state of Wisconsin, and I am amazed by this place. I traveled here for personal reasons, although, of course, I have always wanted to see the U.S., too. But I never got here until God gave me a personal reason for going here. I might tell you more about that later.

I have started taking notes about what I experience in this country. I will write an article in Swedish to be published in a Scandinavian Conservative newsletter about my trip over the Atlantic. I also assume that I will make a video about my impressions in the states, and I am recording material for a video to upload within a few days.

Let me just shortly tell you this: this is a wonderful country. The patriotism, the faith, the hospitality, the choices and the opportunities of this nation are amazing. I am overwhelmed. I knew that I would love coming here, but I did not know how much I would love it. “Come and see” is what my dear friend in America told me. Well, I came, I saw, and I love it.

Keep on watching A Swede Speaks, both this site, and the YouTube channel. If you like what I do, feel free to support A Swede Speaks. For information about how to do that, take a look at the box to the right.

And by the way, happy Labor Day!

  1. I love that you titled this one, ‘Land Of The Free,” Swede. It makes me feel even more proud to live in the last nation on Earth that enjoys real and true freedom of speech. I hope that we Americans can hang on to the freedoms we enjoy for another 300+ years. All of the powers that be would like to strip our rights to bear arms and speak freely and I pray that the coming generations will never submit to having them stripped away.
I wish for you wonderful and safe travels!
